About Vertical Run

How it began

Vertical Run descends from an old military technique called rappelling. In the late 1960s the rappeling technique transformed into Vertical Run in order to lower down troops from helicopters as safely as possible into hot dropzones under heavy fire. The technology is currently used by both military and police during operations in order to force buildings during combat or ongoing hostage situation. During the late 1980s a commercial operation was started in Australia where the technology was launched as a pure adventure experience.

Here's how it works

Arrive at least twenty minutes before the booked time with a pair of gym sneakers or similar low-heeled shoes. After you have read and sign our health declaration we equip you with harness, helmet and gloves.

After a short debrief, you step of the roof and out on the wall. Our instructors have total control of your vertical speed during the run. However, the name of the game is that you´re in charge of your own run, we monitor.

Back on the ground you take your big smile up to the top of the building for a second run. We round up the event with a diploma of courage and a t-shirt that you can´t buy, just earn!
